Pen Pal Tree is a free, year-round platform helping older adults and the communities around them connect through letters, cards, volunteering, talents, celebrations and shared projects—nearby or across the world.
Safe by design
No public resident profiles or child accounts. Organizations and responsible adults remain involved in coordinating participation and safety requirements.
International by design
Pen Pal Tree is not limited to one country or one kind of facility. Nursing homes, assisted living, memory care, adult day programs, senior centers, group homes and other communities can participate.
Year-round
Holiday cards are only one branch. Pen pals, birthdays, postcards, music, volunteer offers, school partnerships and ideas we haven't imagined yet all belong here.
